Ha..ha..ha! I know comparing Jesus to a "thief" is ... your words ... "not comforting" but that's what Bible says. Anyway, this "thief" comes to steal us away from those that steal from us, hurt us. He steals us to His bossom, a place where there is not more tears, nor sorrows nor fear, nor sickness or disease. The Rapture is not for all. Only the faithful ones and this incident (thank God you are all safe) is a grim reminder that life is real, and Jesus' return is real. Be ready and alert at all times!
