Holidays!

I'm enjoying my holidays =] aside from the endless tuition, its still pretty fun lolz, and lucrative. My aunt from the second side of the family has gone to China. So i'm free tomorrow. Like whoo!! no basketball and ping pong. lolz. Today wasn't really productive I think haaha. I slept pretty badly at night. Probably woke up 7 or more times. Tossing and turning. You know the feeling. Or you might not haha. Not everyone can look like a panda. xD Math tuition went pretty okay, but i'll be doing it alone in december. T_T haha! It won't be as much fun. ah well.

I took a nap after lunch. At about 3 me and my mom headed to Ikea. We went out to dinner street-side. Practically next to FGA. So that was fun. Lolz My mom took a guys table by accident. Haha xD hmm i've been playing cake mania =.= and oooh maan. Its addictive.

The Clash of Times

I just got back from the live tennis match. Yeah! The Clash of Times. XD Man! It was just awesome. The exhibition match was played between Roger Federer and Pete Sampras, former world champ.

Federer has won 12 Grand Slam singles titles (3 Australian Open, 5 Wimbledon, 4 U.S. Open), 4 Tennis Masters Cup titles, and 14 ATP Masters Series titles. He has won three Grand Slam singles titles in a calendar year a record three times (in 2004, 2006 and 2007). He holds the male record of ten consecutive Grand Slam singles final appearances and is the only male player to have played in the finals of all four Grand Slam tournaments for two consecutive years. By winning Wimbledon in 2007, Federer also tied Björn Borg's open era record of five consecutive Wimbledon championships.

Petros “Pete” Sampras , is a former World No. 1 tennis player from the United States. During his 15-year career he won a record 14 Grand Slam men's singles titles in 52 appearances. Sampras finished as No. 1 on the ATP rankings for six consecutive years, a record for the open era and tied for third all-time. Sampras won the singles title at Wimbledon seven times, a record shared with William Renshaw. He also won five singles titles at the U.S. Open, an open-era record shared with Jimmy Connors. Bud Collins has named Sampras as one of the top five men's tennis players of all-time,[1] and TENNIS Magazine has named him the greatest player from 1965 through 2005.[2] On July 17, 2007, Sampras was inducted into the 2007 class of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The match began 8 and ended at 10.30. Would've ended 30 minutes earlier if it wasn't for the cultural performances and stuff. Before the match began both of them shot 10 autographed tennis balls to the crowd. *sniff all those lucky people T_T I don't have to tell you who won do I? lolz

awards night

AAAAHHH! That's pretty much the look Lerry had when everyone kept reminding her that award's day was coming up. Haha but everything turned out smoothly =] Lolz sorry. Just had to. The pic really suited. It was all a blast. A few of the decos had fallen =] Ju fixed em up again, but they fell ...a little less though. Thanks JU! We managed to give it a half party-formal vibe without making it look like a red-light district. Whoo. All the rehearsals and everything went so smoothly! Awesome job guys *cheers!

I didn't manage to concentrate on the junior skit T_T sorry. So I'm wondering how it ended. Lolz.

What a shame.

<<< Look familiar xD Although the sketched one looks better than the real one. Haha. After awards night was over we had to take down all the deco. Which was. . . fun. No regrets whatsoever. HAH! Curse you decos! Bwahahaa. Now you're in that deep dark bin where no one shall free you. Unless some di'kut wants you =.= pfft.

My teacher ambushed me! xD

Okay, so it was about 7.30. I brought down my dinner in a bowl and sat next to Aunty Jenny. We watched the Amazing Race for like half an hour, and then the bell went *ding dong~*

So I'm okay, Who could that be?

My aunt was squinting trying to see who it was. And then she found that it was the music teacher! AAHH!

"You're here?! I . . . I forgot." . . so yeah =.= darn
and she laughs. I thought it was next friday, since she said she wouldn't be able to come next tuesday.

hahahaa It went pretty well by my standards =.= considering that I didn't practice the piece she gave me. So that went pretty okay =] Then later she chose a song that had 5 flats in it T_T aaah I nearly died. But I got the hang of it after awhile. Phew ~

Over and out!

Halloween is over T_T

Some of us wait for that one day in a year, reminding ourselves of pumpkins and lots of candy. =D That's what I think of anyway when it comes to halloween. Ok. I think about Jack Skellington too =] What can I say? I'm a fan xD Ooh, I love Zero too =D

Jaryl dressed up as, I'm not so sure what. But the eyeballs in the jar was cool xD. Should freak people out next time, put ribena in there and drink from the jar >< hoho. I'd volunteer.

Okay so here's a 411 on halloween. Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses" and carving jack-o-lanterns. The term Halloween (and its alternative rendering Hallowe'en) is shortened from All-hallow-even, as it is the eve of "All Hallows' Day",[1] which is now also known as All Saints' Day.

Many European cultural traditions, in particular Celtic cultures, hold that Halloween is one of the liminal times of the year when spirits can make contact with the physical world, and when magic is most potent (according to, for example, Catalan mythology about witches and Scottish and Irish tales of the Sídhe).

The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops. The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, where the bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were also worn at the festivals in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or placate them.[4][5] When the Romans occupied Celtic territory, several Roman traditions were also incorporated into the festivals. Feralia, a day celebrated in late October by the Romans for the passing of the dead as well as a festival which celebrated the Roman Goddess Pomona, the goddess of fruit were incorporated into the celebrations. The symbol of Pomona was an apple, which is a proposed origin for the tradition of bobbing for apples on Halloween.[6]

It was believed necessary to dress as a spirit or otherworldly creature when venturing outdoors to blend in, and this is where dressing in such a manner for Halloween comes from. This gradually evolved into trick-or-treating because children would knock on their neighbours' doors, in order to gather fruit, nuts, and sweets for the Halloween festival. Salt was once sprinkled in the hair of the children to protect against evil spirits.

Hmm That was long >< haha but it was interesting =] at least to me xD We should have a party next year =] with fireworks and bonfires xD
