The Clash of Times

I just got back from the live tennis match. Yeah! The Clash of Times. XD Man! It was just awesome. The exhibition match was played between Roger Federer and Pete Sampras, former world champ.

Federer has won 12 Grand Slam singles titles (3 Australian Open, 5 Wimbledon, 4 U.S. Open), 4 Tennis Masters Cup titles, and 14 ATP Masters Series titles. He has won three Grand Slam singles titles in a calendar year a record three times (in 2004, 2006 and 2007). He holds the male record of ten consecutive Grand Slam singles final appearances and is the only male player to have played in the finals of all four Grand Slam tournaments for two consecutive years. By winning Wimbledon in 2007, Federer also tied Björn Borg's open era record of five consecutive Wimbledon championships.

Petros “Pete” Sampras , is a former World No. 1 tennis player from the United States. During his 15-year career he won a record 14 Grand Slam men's singles titles in 52 appearances. Sampras finished as No. 1 on the ATP rankings for six consecutive years, a record for the open era and tied for third all-time. Sampras won the singles title at Wimbledon seven times, a record shared with William Renshaw. He also won five singles titles at the U.S. Open, an open-era record shared with Jimmy Connors. Bud Collins has named Sampras as one of the top five men's tennis players of all-time,[1] and TENNIS Magazine has named him the greatest player from 1965 through 2005.[2] On July 17, 2007, Sampras was inducted into the 2007 class of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The match began 8 and ended at 10.30. Would've ended 30 minutes earlier if it wasn't for the cultural performances and stuff. Before the match began both of them shot 10 autographed tennis balls to the crowd. *sniff all those lucky people T_T I don't have to tell you who won do I? lolz
