I realized that

- I sometimes follow people around for no apparent reason =.= I feel like a dog really. . . I hope this is endearing instead of weird

- I dislike coming back to an empty/quiet house (hence I go over to the boys side) Lol =D

- I have a gila short attention span RAWR!

Graduation. The big day is coming in two days. I'm going for the local graduation tomorrow. Just psyched for it. Its gonna be fun. 2009 can be summed up in a sentence I think.

Best year ever. I'll remember it. Grin. That's saying something. Sigh. I love life.

I was listening to Lite FM just the other day, and they had this little game called "Spellbound" where all you had to do was spell a word. Apparently, we can't even spell words like 'mischievous' and 'occurrence'

Did I mention I have absolutely, positively, without a doubt, the utmost , unfailing faith in our education system =) Way to go guys. Clap clap clap.

Jessie

Jessie by Joshua Kadison is a very nice song. Sigh. Its been on loop on my playlist for like . . half of yesterday. I can listen to the same song for 3-4 days on end. Grin. Its been awesome that Lite n' Easy has a 'listen online' feature. Its like that little piece of home that you can take with you wherever you go. Good ol' 80's music. I am content. =] ....okay. I should be studying.

Enjoy =)

My friend tells me that the design lecturers in Curtin uni are scary. Omigosh. Nazi designer lecturers. I'm so scared. No sarcasm intended. Let me repeat year 12!

...Nazi designer lecturers. . . that came out wrong. Whoops.

Exams are coming!! The horror! * runs around screaming

Suddenly. I have become incredibly motivated to study. Sigh. If only this feeling had come one week earlier. Once holidays come, I'm gonna hit the beach, grab a book, go swimming, and enjoy myself. . . and clean my room.

It is a . . controlled mess. Let's put it that way. =]

BBQ, Freo trip and Steamboat! TRIPLE Whoo!

We got invited to Bob Rees' house for a BBQ awhile ago, went to Fremantle on the 29th of Sept, and had a steamboat during the mooncake festival. Sighs. I am very. Very. Contented.

I found it pretty amazing that all the people whom I thought are cool are all in their 50's and 60's. Bob's dad is a war veteran. An ace! And he's appeared in history books. You can't get any awesomer than that.

It more or less drizzled the entire day at Fremantle. We went for the fish and chips, headed off to the arcade, then to the choco restaurant.

Churros are the Western equivalent of Yar Chao Kuey. Ice cream, caramel, white, milk, and dark chocolate dips. Not sure what the other white one is. Let's call it. . . an orgasm in your mouth for a whopping $30 odd dollars.

Baby photos (and my thoughts on them)

Baby photos. Should never be shown to relatives (namely busybody aunties), friends, visitors/guests, or any sort of person that comes to the house shown courtesy of delighted, gushing-over-with-enthusiasm, joyful, delirious, not-quite-right-in-the-head parents. I remember vividly (and that's saying something) when my parents show my baby photos to the aforementioned. . . . (just joking). . .(well not really)

OH THE HORROR!

Especially your naked baby photos. DOUBLE HORROR!

And then they wonder why kids rebel against them. Gee.

I was browsing through facebook (THE Number 1. site to waste time) which eventually brought about this post =] *grin

You know you're in for it when your parents put up naked photos of you on facebook. As if showing busybody aunties wasn't enough. Sigh =] The next generation is subject to a whole new level of embarassment. I'm so glad I was born when I was. And! Thank God that my parents are tech illiterate.

Somewhere in Time

The movie's pretty nice too. I fell in love with the soundtrack.

One heck of a day

I am sick. And was groggy and sniffly the entire day. Mostly groggy. Two tests today. History and accounting. Oh gosh. I can't even read my own handwriting. It was all one big blur. I also nodded off at Economics, grin. Of which I got caught. Ahaaha. It was funny. But I am so glad today is over. Phew.

Randomness! I finally bought Kit-kat. Which would be the first time in a very very long time. Haiz =] I need to relax. I've been studying non-stop recently. A break is seriously needed. The school's dinner dance is coming up on the 4th of Sept. Whoo. I am looking forward to that! The food is going to be great. Roast beef, caesar salad, mixed berry cheesecake, pavlova, more cake and whoo! And there were leftovers the year before. Which probably means there are gonna be leftovers this year too. Sigh =]

Friday, August 7, 2009

I have now been dubbed "The cute little geek that yells FIERFEK!" Gee. That rhymes. XD Lerry claims copyrights! Whoo. For those of you who don't know. And I think there are only a few, grin, I have a whole stash of comic books in my room. The American kind. With Spiderman and Superman, and Batman, Wonderwoman, Supergirl, Fantastic Four, Star Wars, and THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. Okay. I don't have that many. OOOH I HAVE ONE G.I. JOE COMIC BOOK TOO! Just one. And the movie is coming out. *is so psyched nyahaha Comic books are so darn expensive. I wish I were American sometimes. They're like, only 2-3 bucks in America. So. They get imported over and cost a glorious 10-12 ringgit. RM10 for less than half a cm worth of pages filled with superheroes wearing their undies inside out. I really. Really miss watching superhero cartoons on Saturday mornings. Yes. I'm 17. And I couldn't imagine spending my Saturday mornings any other way. Sigh. When I come back home. As a reward to myself. I am going to buy a graphic novel. Of Superman. Preferably the vintage artsy kind.

I guess this makes me an awesome geek. The kind that wears boardshorts and cooks pretty damn good. You know you love me.

300#

Yes! It is the 300th post. Haha. Was thinking of putting up the "300" movie poster or something. But nah.

I love Saturdays. Saturdays are the days I go out with my housemates or just spend some me-time by myself. And earlier during the week I had glorious ideas about going to the beach, since the weather would be considerably warmer during the weekend (it was 20 degrees today, meaning you could walk around without a jacket), but I chucked that idea aside, since I would probably be going alone. So I thought, I'll just walk to college, lie down in the grass under a tree or in the sun, and daydream. But no. That couldn't happen either. I just have too much work to be done. Haiz. I think the following statement pretty much sums up everything really.

There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want - Calvin and Hobbes

Dignity forsaken, Mishie has chased after a pink ice cream truck in full view of her classmates and ELACS teacher Linda

. . . And failed to catch the truck. Snicker! Cos me and a friend weren't sure if we could stray that far from school. So we just stopped running and turned back. Muahaha. And Linda said we could try again next week. And yes! She gave us permission to go run for it. Lol! Today was fun and the weather was simply wonderful. Soooo Lerry has called me the " *this part has been deleted for fear of controversy* chanting pink ice cream chasing mishie"

Australian Idol is starting next week! Whoo! I love this promo. Its one of those you don't mind watching over and over.

The Trip to Freo

Scar by Missy Higgins is nice! I am so backward. And I have been spamming my blog with youtube videos. Haiz. I felt like putting up the vid here, but I'd be spamming again. Hee.

If . . . the way kids viewed the world was put into spectacles, a lot of people have taken them off I think. The same childlike wonder we used to hold for everything around us kinda just blurs as we're so caught up in the responsibilities that age and maturity bring.  I guess we should appreciate the little things. Stop and revel in the moment.  Sing that song. Buy that ice cream! Worry later about your figure. Laugh loudly. Hug easily. Star gaze. And the list could go on and on. I'll be keeping my glasses on. Grin. Its a helluva lot more fun.

Norwegian Recycling

And NO it is not a recycling project/plant. My friend told me that it was this guy that brought various songs together to produce this amazing result. Go listen =D Jaryl told me there are regional copyright issues for the first. But you really should try to find and listen to "How six songs collide." It'll really be worth your while.

LISTEN TO THIS ONE TOO! Its awesome!

You've been punk'd!

All my exam scores have finally been returned to me. Haha. Our lecturers didn't update our scores online to spare us the torture and agonizing wait. Anyway! Just wanted to give cred back to God. I've been punk'd once again. Got 77% for both ELACS and economics (for which I thought I'd fail), 74% for History (for which I was confident in, but turned out to be lowest *snicker) and a shocking 78.5% for Accounting!(for which I was also convinced I would fail) Ooh the irony. Most of you know accounting is like, my worst subject.

I have no idea where those numbers came out from. But I am so grateful for them. I see consistency =]

OOH! Funny thing =D Well not funny. But awesome really. During my exam period, I joined the orientation prayer team for Passion (church) and took time off studies to attend the prayer meetings. I have no idea where I found the time to study and attend. But it worked out. And when I look back, I'm wowed.

OOH OKAY! =] Now the amusing bit. We had to do fasting. And I didn't quite grasp the concept of fasting, only that it didn't necessarily have to be food. So when it was my turn to fast, Evangeline asked me,  "So, how do you feel?"

And then all eyes were turned on me. "Okay." I said.

"Okay?" she asked, with that kind of tone and look on her face. And then I realized. Everybody before me said they felt great or good. So. .. that was haha weird. I don't understand fasting T_T ahaaaa. Somebody explain pleaaaasee. Enlighten me.

Just one of those moments

"I am too strong to battle mere mortals. Bring me giants!"

LIKE RAWWRRR!! I love that saying! And yes, it was plenty inspiring. It kinda makes you feel like  you're Simba roaring your heart out on Pride Rock across the African savanna.

I adore vintage postcards and the like. The look of the era, and the dress, it kind of just screams out, begging to be captured onto paper and be posted up on your wall. Sigh. "Glee" is fantastic. I watched the advanced screening today on TV, but they won't be showing the rest of the series until September. Which is probably . . not that great. Since you have to study and all. . . sigh. Now do you see why I want to be a beach bum? ANYWAAAY, here's candyman! I'm super behind. =.= But I really liked the look of it. Wahaa I have a new hobby! Collecting vintage postcards and magnets. And pop-art! Wahaha. I'm going to plan my future house! And what adorns the walls! *goes high

They really don't make songs like these anymore. =] Light and Easy has still got to be the best radio station I've ever listened to. The lyrics have so much more meaning and depth as compared to lyrics about kissing a girl and liking it. Snicker.

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

GAAAAHHH! I take that back. Exams suck! The stress. The sleepless nights! Oh! I found out. I'm not affected by coffee. Awesome. YES! But all this means is that my brain needs to find some other sort of stimulant. Ah well. Two more exams to go. I think I pretty much failed Econs. The multiple choice was hard and the practice ones he gave were easy. How unfortunate.

Oh. I'll be back from the 4th to the 16th. Not the 5th to the 15th. Haha. My bad. Which is good news though. =] Hmm. . looking forward to waking up at four in the morning and going to the airport. Joy.

Friday, June 26, 2009

I think exams are great. =D My housemate gave me a super weird look when I said that. Like WHAT?! Ya. =] Because if yours are spaced out evenly, (and mine are) you have this tremendous amount of free time in between. . (which is supposed to be spent studying) haha. But yeah. The free time is awesome! Its like you're on a semi-holiday.

Next Plane Home

I really like the sounds planes make when the pass overhead. VOOOOOOOOM Haha. I was looking through my songs, and I found this! I haven't been listening to it for super long. And yeah, its one of my favourites. I somehow remembering posting this before =.= Or maybe its just me. . . Ahh well =]

Thursday, June 25, 2009

I'm being told I'll probably be quarantined for a week when I get home. That had better not be true. .  .

I'LL ONLY BE BACK TEN DAYS AND SEVEN OF THEM ARE GONNA BE SPENT IN QUARANTINE?!?!! WHAAATT?

Biggest Morning Tea

A month ago, the Student Council organized "The Biggest Morning Tea" which was this donation thing going on to help fund cancer research. Something along those lines =] This was taken on a Sunday, when we had to go to the school canteen and bake cookies, cakes and stuff for the following day. It was fun =D
